An interactive workshop
for students and teachers…

..is an introductory workshop dedicated
to the process of storytelling, through
the medium of theatre and film. Both
experienced actors, directors and
writers: James Cooke and Benjamin Capps
work with students and educators to
expound on the development of a
creative idea into a complete and
effective script. Through speaking
about the steps of the creative process
from their own real life experiences in
the theatre arts, as well as exploring
the differences of scriptwriting versus
simple fiction writing, students and
teachers gain a better understanding of
where their favorite plays and movies
find their beginnings.  As an
interactive presentation, the Creative
Writing for Stage and Screen Workshop
allows students to write their own one-
minute script to have a hands-on
experience from idea to execution,
right in the classroom.
